So frustrated

I am so frustrated and agitated Saturday night I had pressure tightening in my chest that radiated up to my upper back felt like someone was squeezing my heart. The ER told me to call my cardiologist so that is what I did today and the nurse said the vessels in my heart are borderline but the cardiologist told me they are stressed and hard. I am on Metoprolol 50 ER. I have an appointment Thursday at 2:40 with my cardiologist but the nurse made me feel so stupid maybe I shouldn't go. She said it sounds like just inflammation in my chest. The ER gave me taradol to help my pain. Ladies I need opinions.
The cardiologist wants to see me.

See the cardiologist. Nurses are valuable and can be awesome. But they do not know as much or more than your cardiologist. If your dr is concerned, you should be too. Good luck.

See your cardiologist.  You need to address any of these symptons seriously.  My father had a stroke in December and he wasn't feeling well for a week.  He put it off and knew he was seeing his cardiologist on 12/9, his stroke was 12/8.  Please go and it is better for the Dr. to check you and say that you are ok then having someone who is not a heart specialist make an assumption that they are not qualified to make.

I think you're wise to listen to your doctor. Nurses have a great deal of experience and insight, but your cardiologist is a specialist. Good luck, I hope they can help you figure out what's going on.
