I am so frustrated and agitated Saturday night I had pressure tightening in my chest that radiated up to my upper back felt like someone was squeezing my heart. The ER told me to call my cardiologist so that is what I did today and the nurse said the vessels in my heart are borderline but the cardiologist told me they are stressed and hard. I am on Metoprolol 50 ER. I have an appointment Thursday at 2:40 with my cardiologist but the nurse made me feel so stupid maybe I shouldn't go. She said it sounds like just inflammation in my chest. The ER gave me taradol to help my pain. Ladies I need opinions.
The cardiologist wants to see me.

I can't believe the ER didn't run any tests! They released you?

My husband had chest pain, dizziness etc and I called an ambulance. They told him he was having a panic attack. Meanwhile he got a prescription for tranquilizers since they told him he was having panic attacks!

Two weeks later the pain was unbearable. He went to the cardiologist and had many tests which included, stress test, echo, PVD, Carotid and also a cath. He ended up with a triple bypass on his heart and also his carotid was operated on because it was clogged. My husband could've died.

What kind of a hospital releases a patient with these symptoms? I would be very upset.

I hope everything turns out okay!

Quoting SarahSuzyQ: I think you're wise to listen to your doctor. Nurses have a great deal of experience and insight, but your cardiologist is a specialist. Good luck, I hope they can help you figure out what's going on.
Thank you very much. I will keep you guys updated.
