move your sofas and clean behind/under them? How often do you lift the cushions and clean under them?

Every two weeks unless something is spilled or missing. And our couch doesn't have removable cushions.

the cushions on my couch don't come off, but I clean my carpets once a month so I move the couch when I do that and clean behind and under it.

Usually once a week but sometimes more.

I have difficult furniture.  My old stuff I'd do all the time because it was nothing to pull them out.  This stuff is waaaaay too heavy and I don't imagine it's good for it for me to be yanking on it.  I raise all the recliners (the whole set reclines, 5 in all) and vacuum with the hose every other month or so.  Even then there's barely anything under there.  The no food in the living room rule has done a world of difference.

I wipe the furniture down every week when I dust the living room.  There are no cushions to lift.
