So your child has misbehaved. You have taken every privelage away from them, lesson not learned, still misbehaving. You ever make them clean as a punishment??

If so what do they clean

No, that would make them hate cleaning when they get older.

No I don't because when I was younger,(before teenage years, that I remember) I was made to clean as a punishment and honestly it made me despise cleaning. Although I do it because it needs to get done, and no one else will do it for me. I don't want my kids to despise it and then life like a dump when they get there own place.

Only if they messed up something... they should have to clean their own messes... but not randomly assigning cleaning as punishment...

The only time cleaning was punishment for one of my kids that I recall was when he (at 4 yrs old) dumped an entire container of baby powder all over his & his brother's room. There was no surface in the room not covered in powder! I made him clean most if it. My kids already had regular daily chores, so it wasn't "punishment", it was chores.

Thank you for the responses.. I hate doing cleaning as a punishment but at times I will make my dd do an extra chore to get privelages back

hahahahahahah not yet. but i remember my mom doing that with my sister and I.

I think cleaning toilettes and scubbing floors with tooth brushes is fitting if the crime is deserving of it.

My kids are too young for that now, but If i have to when they are older i will.
