Do your dogs and cats track in mud? What do you do to reduce dirty paw prints in your house?
no pets here
We have cats but they don't play in the mud...none around.
I dont have pets right now but dragging in dirt was always a problem
Unfortunately I have 3 dogs and their dog run is a mud pit right after the snow melts. The best way to combat is a rug when they first walk in. (back door leading to the basement) An additional towel by the kitchen door, and making them sit and let me wipe their paws with baby wipes. But still if their rambunctious I have paw prints all over the kitchen. Then they go in their kennels to dry the mud and the swifer comes out. I mainly try to catch them before they hit carpeted areas which is much more of a pain to clean.
The only thing I do is grab them before they actually come in and wipe off their little paws that can be really frustrating if they go out too many times though.
If they do happen to get by me I have to use the mop to clean up their paw prints.
Our cats are inside only. I expect that if I had a dog that tracked in mud, that I'd have a shallow basin and wash her paws when she came in and then dry them.
