I find that if you give things a negative name, they will automatically be negative. If you want it to be organized, call it the Misc. Drawer, or the odds and ends. Calling it a junk drawer just invites junk like old useless to do lists, nonsense paper, old cell phones, bent useless paper clips, and so on and so forth. Get or use your label maker and make sure everything has a place, then when you're tempted to throw stuff haphazardly inside you'll look in a realize what a shame that would be!
