Do you feel like you save money this way?  I was looking at some of the ingredients and it seems like those cost more then buying something that's .99 cents.

Depends on what it is, but usually I feel like I spend more money.

 I don't do big mixes.  I use vinegar and water.  I've learned how to use less vinegar.  I was using way too much at first.  A gallon a vinegar is 2.37.  Baking soda is .35.  I think I save.  IMO You don't need the big mixes. 

Oh when I bought the stuff for laundry soap it was under $10 and I was told it would last 6 months.
