For the first time in my LIFE we have central air!

I grew up in tx in an older home with only 3 window units. Then in upstate ny we lived in one house that didn't have ac, and one apartment that has 2 window units.

Now we bought a home back in TX with central air!!!

Open the windows and overhead fans.

We live at the coast and the temps rarely get above 80- the ocean is our backyard.

Window units, and we run them only when we can't take the heat any more.

The heat index has been over 100° for most of this week.

My grandparents didn't have AC, and we got along OK with fans and window fans, but I remember some pretty miserable nights trying to sleep and being too warm.
