Do you have an extra freezer in the house? Does this help with meal planning at all?

I have THREE extra freezers!  One upright holds beef cuts, one upright holds chickens and frozen veggies/fruit from the garden, and the smaller chest freezer holds pork and ground beef.  We buy a whole beef, a whole hog, and raise 100+ chickens every year for the freezer.

Does it help with meal planning?  YOU BET!  I'm not limited to planning my meals around whatever meat is on sale.

I do I have an upright in the basement. It doesn't help me as far as menu planning but it does hold all of my summer stuff I freeze for the winter

I have one. Love it but will probably get rid of it when we move. Not military move friendly. Lol

I have a deep chest in the basement. It's essential for us since we butcher a cow and a pig once a year so we can have up to 600lbs of meat at a time. I also can so my jams are all down there as well.

we have an upright in the basement. I love it because I always have chicken, beef and pork on hand. I especially like it because all that meat was bought on sale.

We have a deep chest freezer. Right now we use it for things that won't fit in our small side by side. We're thinking about buying half a cow, so that is where all the meat will go.

I would love to have one! It would have to go in the garage. DH says we would have to get rid of stuff before we could get one, so it has a place  to go. So I think when it starts to cool down maybe I'll work on getting rid of some stuff. I would want an upright freezer.
