I am trying not to do too much while taking care of my new baby but I need to get this done once and for all. My kids toys are out of control and need sorted out again and put some more away and throw away the broken toys. I also need to sort through the kids books and throw away books they have ripped pages out of and fix books worth fixing. This is a small project but it will probably take me all day to get it done if not two days.

1 mom liked this

This is where clear plastic tubs are your best friend.  I like to sort every toy that isn't broken into like bins and then put them on a shelf in the closet.  When they want to play with one type, say barbies, pull out the barbie tub and make them clean them up when they are done.  It teaches them organization skills and makes each toy a fun treat that you use for a while.

I did that with the boys toy cars and it works pretty good they like being able to get them out and not have to dig through other toys to find them.
