Good morning ladies:) I going to try to organize my master closet this weekend. What works for you to keep everything clean an organized? Do you keep Laundry in there? What do you do with you shoes? Do you have baskets or organizers? What do you do with your purses?

I dont have a selection of purses. I have one i use until its time to go to trash. lol. My closet isnt as organized as i would like. we just moved in and im figuring out ways to organize. our clothes are separate and organized though. I keep all shirts together and all pants together. My husbands work clothes are separate. He does have tie organizer. Im looking for a shoe organizer now. Haven't found one yet that i want. good luck with the closet

Some day I hope to have those short Mainstays shelves underneath for my shoes and baskets of accessories.  But for now, I hang shirts and dresses and put important bulky items on the shelf above.  My purses have never had a place, but would go on my shelves if I had them :)

Okay, so great minds think alike, right?  That's what I'm working on right now....master bedroom/closet....And, although I know most people won't have the option, there is just me and DH here on a permanent basis (I used the word permanent because with nine kids, three in-law kids, a grandchild and two more on the way, there is usually someone in and out...LOL), so I've decided that DH's clothes being in the walk in closet in our bedroom is short lived.  Most of his daily clothes will fit in his dresser, his dress clothes (hanging) will go into the closet in the spare bedroom when I get it cleaned.  Coats and jackets will go into the livingroom closet by the front door when that get's purged.  DH is fine with this and he will have ample closet space, as will I.

Shoes, I have an over the door hanger and a wire basket that sits in the closet floor.  I plan to purge quite a few pair of shoes during this process, and will continue to do so until they (mine and his) all fit into these two items because honestly, considering I wear flip flops most of the time, there is no reason for me to retain 15 pairs of dress shoes that I wore when I worked my corporate job 5 years ago.

Purses, I tuck into a cloth shopping bag (which I seem to have an abundance of for some reason) and deposit all those into a duffle bag that I store under the bed.  I don't have many purses, so this isn't a big obstacle for me.

Good luck, Momma!  I'm right there with you....

Those clear plastic boxes with lids are good for shoes, purses, accessories.

We keep nothing at all but clothing in our bedroom closet. That helps a lot.

I don't pay the slightest attention to dh's side. That helps me :D

I sorted my clothes by colour, years ago --so now I can easily mix and match things, and see what I have too much of and not enough of, at a glance.

I have a lot of tank tops, so I bought one of those fabric hanging shoe things, and use it for my rainbow of rolled shirts.
