White Floors Anyone?

I have white, yes, WHITE kitchen/dining/kids-bath/garage entry floors.

I am constantly on the "pickup", grabbing baby wipes to wipe up any weird little speck or funk that I see on the floor.

I have a "no shoe" policy in my home, but really, how does one keep a white floor white? I have 5 kids and two dogs .....

Other than wearing baby wipes on my feet to grab all of the weirdness off of the floor (yah, I really do that) ....

Any ideas on how to keep my floor white and shiny?

*the smart thing to do would be to put in new flooring, but the area is HUGE and we had estimates of about 3K to do that area ~ it's just not in our budget right now :(

Yes, In a previous home I had light floors in m entry way, large eating area and solarium kitchen, and I had a dark haired dog. I cleaned those floors daily-

I now have dark cherrywood HW in 75% of my home- a nightmare as well. Every speck of dust, lint and cat hair shows. Another bad choice!

My floor was large ceramic tiles- I used hot water and ammonia daily to keep them and the white grout clean.

Paint them.

Even if the paint wore off in a few years, it would still be easier to live with than what you have now.

I had white floors in the kitchen, bath and hall before we gutted the house. I mopped them a few times a day just to keep up and I still felt like they didn't look good enough. I definitely feel your pain!
