When in doubt

When in doubt, throw it out, and I am in doubt right now about a package of sliced ham. It looks as though I opened it, but it doesn't look as though there was any ham used, which there would have been if I had opened it.  But since I'm not sure, I'll have to toss it. Which I really hate to do, but it's better than wondering if something will make us sick.

So I opened the other package of sliced turkey lunchmeat that we had, and it felt slimey, so out it went, too, and we had cheese sandwiches. :(

Yes, same thing.  I hated to throw the stuff out, but it is better than taking a chance on it.
