How do you deal with all the stuff that doesn't have a home? I have all this random stuff that keeps getting moved from one horizontal surface to another. I get stressed out when I try to organize because I don't know where to put everything. How do you handle it?
omg let me know what you do with it. I am going throw the same thing.

So I've been getting rid of a lot of stuff.
I look at it and ask my self several questions. Have I used this in the past year.. Do I plan on using it in the next year. Does it serve a purpose.. If I answer no to those questions its trashed or donated..
If its yes then I find the room that I would use the item in and find a home for it in that room
I try to get rid of something else so that I can move the stuff I want into its place. I just went though this with a new bowl set I got. I wanted to have it where I could easily reach it, so I had to clear off a shelf above my countertop for it, and the items that were on there were either donated or moved to another shelf, where the stuff on that was donated. I found room though.
UGH let me tell you. Same problem! But in my case DH has all this stuff he wont part with but wont get rid of that just sits in bins on the floor in a corner. DRIVES ME MAD! I told him the other day I wasn't cleaning the living room till he got rid of said stuff. Guess what? It' still there and he ended up cleaning the living room by himself. We made a bargain and he didn't keep his end of it so I refused to help him!
