What is coffee roast beef? Does it taste like coffee?? We had roast beef last night also!

I put 1/2 c. strong black coffee, 1 onion cut into slices, and 1 tsp. minced garlic in the bottom of a crockpot.  I seasoned a beef roast with salt, pepper, and marjoram, then placed it in the crock on top of the coffee, onions, and garlic.  Cover and cook on low for 10 hours or high for 5 to 6 hours.  I added peeled potatoes and carrots about 1/2 way through.  It didn't have a strong coffee taste, but it was pretty tender.

Breakfast: one barowsky organic whole wheat english muffin with 2 tbs of land o' lakes salted butter & 2 tbs of philadelphia cream cheese & 8oz of horizon organic 1% chocolate milk

Lunch: 1/2 of turkey & cheese sandwich, 8 grape tomatoes, & 12oz french vanilla iced coffee with 2 tsp of sugar in the raw & stoneyfield organic half & half

Snack: 8oz mexican hot cocoa: two & half scoops of organic hot cocoa mix, couple of dashes of mccormick mexican style hot pepper, stoneyfield organic half & half, cabot lightly sweetened whipped cream, and dash of nutmeg on top. Two pim's raspberry cookies & one homemade maple leaf cookies that we got at my cousin's wedding at the equinox hotel.
