Where do you buy your produce?
I buy mine from a local farmers market.
An Amish grocery store, the local CSA roadside stand, or ... my own garden.
We have a share in a CSA and what's not there we get at farmer's market or thru Azure Standard. Bananas are still bought at regular grocery store. We're also part of a produce rescue program, but most of that is fed to our chickens and goats.
Our Farmer's Market takes credit, which I didn't know until I went shopping there. There's usually not a whole lot of people there, unless it's First Monday Weekend. Then the place is crawling becuse it's pretty much across the Street from where we hold First Monday Celebrations.
But I usually buy most of my produce from Wal-Mart. I used to work there and know the overnight produce guy, as well as the early morning one. I trust them to rotate like they should. I don't know about all the other people, but those 2 I know do their jobs.
I have gone to the Farmer's Market, but alot of times, produce is just as expensive or more so than at Wal-Mart.
Quoting alyciajoseph:Sams club... I wish I'd go to the farmers market, but I don't ever have cash and I feel uncomfortable, I'm not good around people! (At the grocery store you don't have to talk to anyone and pick through stuff without people asking you questions)
Farmer's markets/Trader Joe's/Co-ops, all organic and lately lots of fresh seasonal blueberries! :D
