How often do you shop?
My husband does the cooking and shopping. But he goes once a week (Mondays)
What is on your typical list?
We like variety... but there's always fruit on the list.
He likes to have fish on Mondays.. then there's usually a chicken and pork dish. Every meal has to have a veggie.. usualy something green like green beans, broccoli or asparagus.
How much do you spend per trip on average
Per week.. on average ... $200
I usually shop once a week, sometimes every two weeks. I've gone as long as a month or more.
My typical list has real butter, cheeses, cottage cheese, salad greens, potatoes, onions, celery, carrots, apples, avocados, citrus (lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit), fresh tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, berries that are in season, fresh cauliflower, frozen broccoli, frozen spinach, frozen fish, canned tomatoes & tomato sauce, canned fish, canned coconut milk, spices & herbs as needed, nuts, raisins or dates, sunflower seeds.
I typically spend $75 a week on average, for 2 adults, 2 teen boys, 12 yr old girl.
We go for major trips, 2x a month. and weekly for little things like milk, bread etc.
I buy a variety of foods. Everything we need for 2 weeks.
Because I go to super Wal-Mart and get ds's pediasure and diapers and other things it's anywhere from 250-300.
I'd love to figure out how to cut down our bill. I can't believe you can do it in $75. Ours is about double that - and for 3 people!
I have to go to 3 stores and the farmer's market each week to get it all, too. (This doesn't include a once in awhile trip to Costco for certain items, or to Target for toiletries and such.)

I don't buy much meat at the store, if any. We buy a whole beef, a whole hog, and then we raise 100+ chickens a year for our freezers.
We also don't eat bread, cereal, pasta, legumes, or dairy besides butter and cheese.
I try to go once week
Been trying to make sure I pick up alot of fruit, veggies along w/ whatever meat I want to get for meal ideas I have.
Not real sure right now.Working on trying meal plans me and dd like that are econoical.Right now we get food stamps so I try and get the best buys to make what we get last and value what help we do get.
GOD first ppl next things last you cant go wrong and w/ GOD and JESUS around you,you will be a a triple strand rope
DH does the shopping once a week (and maybe a small trip or two during the week if we've forgotten something).
We look for sales on meats and plan the rest of the meal around that. We also use e-mealz.
Our budget is usually around $135/week for groceries.
I buy meats, breads (but not a lot, we're not bread eaters) fruits, veggies, and dh's junk.
