I gave up on Christmas cards years ago because of the stress of trying to get it done in addition to everything else before Christmas. Now I send out New Year's Greetings. I sit down after Christmas with a cup of tea and write a letter from the heart, add pictures, copy and mail. It's much cheaper and I save every Christmas card I receive so that I make sure to send those people a New Year's Greeting. I've had people tell me that they love getting my letter after the holidays when there's time to enjoy it. I wrote about this habit and my feelings on the importance of Christmas/holiday letters at http://kidfriendlyorganiclife.blogspot.com/2009/12/in-defense-of-christmas-letters.html
