Non-Stick Spray Recipes

Handy Tip - Tipnut.comSimple & Easy Cooking Spray

  • Fill a pump spray bottle with olive oil or vegetable oil and use as you would commercial non-stick spray products.

Homemade Non-Stick Spray

1/2 cup vegetable or olive oil
4 TBS liquid lecithin (found at health food stores)

  • Mix ingredients well and store in a pump spray bottle. Recipe can be made in batches with the ratio 2:1 (oil to liquid lecithin).

Non-Stick Mix

1 part vegetable oil
1 part Crisco or vegetable shortening (at room temperature)
1 part flour

  • Beat all ingredients together until completely mixed and smooth. Store in airtight container and refrigerate. Coat on pans with a pastry brush–make sure to cover pan surfaces completely. Recipe can be made in batches with equal parts for all ingredients.

I do the spray with veggie oil. Or before I had my spray bottle I put a little on a paper towel and spred it over surface.

Is there a special kind of spray bottle to get?  I tried something like this once and the spray bottle (one you get in the hair section) just wouldn't do it.

I think I've seen or heard of little olive oil sprayers.  Anyone know where to get those?  They shouldn't clog up the way mine did.  I think.  I hope.  'Cause this is an excellent tip and I'd love to use it.

I've seen one recently. I'll see if I can find it and link it.
