Yep. When I was in 8th grade, the show "Laugh-In" was popular. (Yes, I'm showing my age.) One of the skits involved the Farkel family. We all started calling each other <first name> Farkel.
In my family, nobody had girls....only boys. And my grandmother was a twin, her twin sister had twins, so I was supposed to be twin boys. My parents said they were going to name me Amos and Andy. (Soooo original, blech.)
After I told that to some 8th grade friends, I became Amos. Add the Farkel part. I spelled it wrong when choosing a S/N, thus it was Farkle.
I still get called Amos Farkle at reunions or when I see certain old friends in public. That's fine. I answer to it. LOL

Happily divorced. But I was married to my high school sweetheart for over 25 yrs. and have been in a relationship since about a year after divorce. Not getting married (although I've been asked and wear a diamond ring) because of finances. He has no insurance. We both have credit card debt. If something dire happened that ran up a huge medical bill, they can take what he owns but they can't touch mine. Plus, my ex made a lot more than I did and when I get SS, I can claim off his income level, having been married for so long. I live in sin. LOL (Believe me, there's not much of that kind of sinning going on around here....)
