The strawberries around here, at the fruit/veggie stands, are just to die for! The best ever!
So I read that if you rinse them in a white vinegar/water solution and then drain, it kills the mold spores that cause them to go bad quicker.
Yanno what? IT WORKS!!!!! You can rinse the vinegar solution off, but it's really not neccesary. You don't taste it.
As old as I am (which is pretty old), this was a new one to me.
