Don't know if I've posted the youtube video, but even if I did, I actually tried it last night. Wow!
Leave the corn in the shuck. Stick it in the microwave for 8 min. Using a potholder or one of those gloves (I got one for Christmas), take them out and cut straight across the stalk end about 2" up. Hold onto the silk end, and shake. The corn will come out, silk free, and totally cooked.
It really does work!
