I love homemade apple sauce and make it every year.
Last year was the first time I used my crock. LOVE it.
Here is what I did last year...
10 to 14 apples (depending on size) peeled, cored & chopped. (I made a few batches & used different apples...granny smith, macintosh, gala...I really liked it with a few of each)
spoonful of brown sugar...
1 tablespoon cinnamon
** I made a batch with added strawberries, blueberries or peaches too... all were yummy...
*add all ingredients to slow cooker... cook on high 3 hours and then 2 hours on low. stir & serve.
One batch didnt seem to have enough juice so I added a few tablespoons of water or juice..
** this also freezes VERY well.. Just put into serving sizes, cover & freeze, thaw in the fridge.
