1-1/2 c. milk
1 pkg. yeast
2-1/2 T. shortening (butter flavor is awesome)
2 T. sugar
1 egg, beatn
1-1/4 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
HEAT shortening over med-low heat (or can microwave) until melted. Add milk and heat until milk is warm. Remove from heat and add yeast. Set aside.
MIX dry ingredients. Then add liquids and egg. Let rise in bowl 15 min. Punch down. Let rise another 15 min. Shape into rolls. Place on a non-stick or lightly greased baking sheet. Let rise 15 min. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 15 min. or until golden brown.
