banana smoothieI don't love cooking, but I love eating. I also don't love preparing snacks, but I don't always want to have a pre-packaged not-so-healthy treat. Which is why this peanut butter banana smoothie is perfect for me and doesn't scare me to bring out my blender. Okay, maybe a little. But it's easy! So it can be done. Allergic to peanuts? Substitute another fruit or granola. Or enjoy without because this recipe is so delicious, even your kids will love it.

Which is exactly what I'm making them for a snack today. Here's the recipe complete with yummy Greek yogurt. Get blending!

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie via Gimme Some Oven

Yields 2 servings

Ingredients

1 large banana, peeled    

1 cup ice cubes

1/2 cup almond milk

1/4 cup Greek yogurt

1 heaping Tbsp. peanut butter

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

Combine all in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Add straw!
