What does your local town have for kids to do?

We have a summer reading program that we take advantage of, we do different things at our local nature center...they always have weekly activities, we do our $1 movie day's and free bowling day's.
I have enrolled my son in 3 summer reading programs. He loves reading and has just completed two of them.

we have to drive 15 miles to the next town for movies and almost 30 for bowling. :(
