When going to a baby shower, unique gift or do you pretty much take what everyone else does?
Usually cross stitch. I made this hooded towel and bib for the last shower that I went to. Sometimes I make cross stitch birth announcements, but I don't have any pics of the ones that I've made.

Quoting lalasmama2007:
I usually buy something off of the registry and then make something handmade to go along with it.

Thanks! They are really easy to do. I learned when I was 7 or 8. If you are still interested you could probably find a tutorial online on how to do it.

Thanks! The monkey only took a few hours. The bib took a few days, but I only get to work an hour or so most nights after my DD is in bed. Big projects can take several weeks or even months to finish.
