There is rust in my washing machine! My mom spilt a soda on Tristan's karate uniform so I had it soaking in the machine. After I let the cycle run I noticed there are now rust spots all over his uniform!!! Then I pulled out Adelyn's diapers from the dryer and there are some rust spots on them :( Now that I look I can see rust on the bin there. I might just have to get a new washer. Boo! Any tips for removing rust?! I'm gonna try and save the washer but I think it might be a lost cause.

It's old. I bought it used last year when my other one crapped out. My other one is in the garage but it needs a new lid latch and I just never ordered the part (kicking myself in the bum for it now!). She spilt a soda with cherry on it. I got that stain out but now there is rust stains that I will have to try and get out now.

Yeah like when I look in I can see the bottom have of the basin is a different color and has a different feel to it. I'd take a picture but I'm running a wash of hot water and lemon juice to see if it has any effect.

Yeah, I have to wait until tomorrow when dh is home, then have to find a way to get it home lol. And I have diapers that REALLY need washed.
