I want to go see that new movie "What To Expect When You're Expecting". I LOVE Chris Rock and watching the trailer got me thinkiing. In my area we have a fair share of mommy meet up and play groups. I guess because the stereotype is that most moms are involved with their kids or stay home with them.
But what about the dads???
We actually don't have any Daddy meetup groups in our area of southern Colorado. There's a mile high group up near Denver but it doesn't seem very active because they can't get enough dads to join their group! Apparently sahd are few and far between but I see their need for male daddy companionship.
Look at cafemom! Where's the cafedad? My husband always asks this and frankly I'm wondering the same thing. He once joined an online dad group and said all they did was complain about their wives and children so he stopped posting there.
It's really got me thinking that maybe we should move to an area that's more family oriented.
Does your area have any daddy support/meetup groups? What do the daddie's in YOUR life do to connect with other dads?
