I'm new & this is my first group I've ever joined online. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant & my husband and I are thinking about a cruise this July. We love traveling and want to do all we can together before this little joy enter s our life. The question is .. will it be safe and fun for me at 19 weeks?

Welcome to the group! How great that you chose this one first!

Cruises ARE fun and of course you can have fun. Don't drink, go down the slides or off the diving boards into the pools, in fact, try to stay out the pools in case a kid kicks your belly or something accidentally. I've never seen the appeal of public pools.

Tbh, you might not have that much fun now that I think about it. I dunno! This would be a good question for the Pregnancy Group here on cafemom as well.

At 19 weeks you're golden, you'll probably be feeling really good, and there's a doctor on board I think. I can't do cruises anymore because I eat too much :) I have a friend who did an Alaskan cruise, she and her husband each gained 10 lbs, a pound a day! It was all the lobster she thought...welcome to the group!

Thanks everyone. I think they have an adult only pool which will be nice. I will definitely talk to my doctor about it but so far it looks like a good idea!

I think that you'll be at the perfect point in your pregnancy to go.  Enjoy!

And, welcome to the group.  :)

I'd double check with midwife or ob, but I'd think it should be fine & would be fun! Welcome to the group!! I was (still am) in a Due Date Group on here, they have them each month for the year, really cool! You may find one of those fun in additon to this group!! Glad to have you here!
