Have you ever made big bubbles with your kids? Today's challenge is to make your own!

Here are is one recipe to help you get started! Then you can use a hula hoop, or make your own bubble wand.

Recipe:
12 cups water
1 cup dish soap
1 cup corn starch
2 tablespoons baking powder

Place all ingredients in a bucket and stir gently (not creating bubbles!). Let it sit for one hour and enjoy the fun!

Create Your Own Bubble Wand:

  • Use a hula hoop.
  • Use a metal coat hanger and twist into a circle with handle.
  • Use string and straws to create a wand.
  • Use the plastic that comes around a six pack of aluminum cans.
  • Use your hands, putting your thumbs and forefingers together to create a diamond.

I always make my own, the store stuff is way too expensive for what you get, and the home made actually works better.

When I was a kid we always made our own and filled up a frisbee and used fly swatters for the bubbles!

My mom used to just use dish soap. I've never done my own. The huge bottles are pretty inexpensive, so we just use that. Plus the kids get a lot of bubbles for Easter from family.

We always just used a god squirt of dawn dish soap, and added water to it, shook it up then let it sit. lol. That was after we used up the store bought bubbles.

I need to actually make some bubbles for my son this way, as BOTH the 32oz containers were dumped over, ugh
