Have you ever made big bubbles with your kids? Today's challenge is to make your own!
Here are is one recipe to help you get started! Then you can use a hula hoop, or make your own bubble wand.
Recipe:
12 cups water
1 cup dish soap
1 cup corn starch
2 tablespoons baking powder
Place all ingredients in a bucket and stir gently (not creating bubbles!). Let it sit for one hour and enjoy the fun!
Create Your Own Bubble Wand:
- Use a hula hoop.
- Use a metal coat hanger and twist into a circle with handle.
- Use string and straws to create a wand.
- Use the plastic that comes around a six pack of aluminum cans.
- Use your hands, putting your thumbs and forefingers together to create a diamond.

We always just used a god squirt of dawn dish soap, and added water to it, shook it up then let it sit. lol. That was after we used up the store bought bubbles.
I need to actually make some bubbles for my son this way, as BOTH the 32oz containers were dumped over, ugh
