This could be a sensitive subject for some but I just read a news article about a teenage boy who was bullied and ended up taking his own life over it. I won't post the whole article but I will post the link if you care to read it. The family wants to fight to end bullying, but can we ever really end bullying? I have seen a couple of movies on Lifetime about bullying that just came out this year. I think bullying is inevitable, no matter what you do there will always be a bully in the crowd. But I think punishments for bullies should be harsher. DS is in karate and one of the main things they talk about is bullies and what to do if they are ever approached by a bully. I reposted the link on my Facebook and someone actually commented that we should let the bullying happen because it weeds out the weak. It was really nauseating to read that a grown adult thinks that way.
Do you think if everyone worked together that we could end bullying? What do you think the consequences of bullying should be? How do you teach your children about bullies? Other Thoughts?

I agree with you. Unfortunately, no matter what we as a society do, there will always be bullying. And it doesnt stop after kids have grown. Adults do it also, as sickening as it is.
Im lucky enough to never have been a victim of bullying, and I can say that if my kids ever are, there are going to be some serious problems! If my kids were the bully, there would be even more problems, ha!
