Did your parents refer to your teachers with Mrs., Mr., Miss, or Ms.?

At my son's school, they are very first name basis with parents and faculty... I find it weird.

Eta: students say mr. A (principal) and such. But, faculty doesn't fast that to parents. They'll tell me, "I'll let jennifer know then," instead of "I'll let Mrs. C know."
They were first name basis with parents and other faculty. Students address them, though, with Mr. and so on.

I think it's weird too

Quoting Gweneveer:

What?  That is weird!

No, I went to catholic school.  I had mostly nuns.  They were referred to as Sister whatever, lol.

My dd is in Kindergarten, and she calls her teachers Miss, Mrs. or Mr.

Yes. I email the teachers a bit (I'm also a room parent) and I say Mrs but they all sign their first names. A few have told me to call them by their first names but I can't. I'm too old and too old school.

I am a middle school special ed. teacher and I always sign e-mails with my first name. Parents generally will call me by my first name in e-mails and in person. When talking about me to their kids they call me Ms. Coates.

I still find it wierd to be called Ms. Coates, but I think some of that is because I am young. Since I work with older kids it is always wierd when they see me out in public and call me Ms. Coates. It catches me off gaurd. I have a student I worked with who has graduated and we still keep in contact and she still calls me Ms. Coates.

Mine were Mr or Miss. ALWAYS. Um, no... I would NOT allow my kids to address their teachers by their first names.

I honestly don't remember.  My DD's teacher said that the parents should call her by her first name.
