How do busy moms provide healthy snacks for their kids?

Posted by   + Show Post

Getting your child to eat healthy snacks when you're on the go can be a tough job but it doesn't have to be. We gave 40 CafeMom members "On-the-Go Family Fun" packs complete with portable activities and Snack & Go products from  Mott's and asked them to try it with their families. Only Mott's Applesauce pouch has true applesauce taste in a convenient package for busy families on the go!

1 mom liked this

Here's my youngest, giving the rest of hers to my nephew. Excuse the mess I'm babysitting him, and it easier to wait till morning to try and clean.

My Motts packages with applesauce packets and some toys arrived yesterday from Cafemom. My girls wanted the apple sauce as soon as my oldest got home. They loved it! My youngest ate hers and came running back asking for more.  My older daughter kept asking for more too. My son is not big on apple sauce so he didn't try them. I will definatly been picking some of the motts snack and go apple sauce for when we go on vacation this summer. They are a great healthy snack for the kids.

I try to keep healthy snacks on hand and in plain view so the kids can grab them and go.

The Mott's pouches look really neat.  I'll have to keep my eyes open for those.

I usually give my son Go-gurt, yogurt smoothies, granola bars or peanut butter with crackers. He is pretty picky so he won't eat veggies for me, even with ranch dip (he just eats the dip).

Quoting illinoismommy83:

I usually just toss some dry snacks (like crackers) in my purse when on the go. While it would be nice to carry say, carrots, they aren't going to keep in my purse very long. Having a healthy, portable snack that does not require refrigeration (and no risk of leaks) seems ideal.

She is a cutie!
