My DD who is five days old was up so much last night. I know thats normal but she just kept wanting to eat. Im breastfeeding and everytime id put her down to sleep 30min to an hour later she was crying again and smacking her lips and acting hungry again. I would have been fine if she just wanted attention but last 2 nites she has done this. My nipples are cracking and hurting and she doesnt do this during the day so im confused. Do you think she is really hungry or just wanting something to suck on?
posibly, your milk is just comming in, and she's hungry. Try swaddling, night light or no night light. My DD is 12 days and at night I undress her down to her diaper to wake her up enough to eat well, then redress her and nurse again intill she's asleep. She is swaddle which she sleeps better. I also found she eats better in the football hold,to my backs pain. She might also have her days mix up, try to keep to a route for bed time
your milk just be coming in. Is she sleeping alot during the day? She may have her days and nights mixed up.
