Afraid of induction

Hi everyone - today is my due date and my doc has scheduled an induction for 7/8 if my baby girl doesn't arrive before then. But I've heard that being induced can cause labor to be more painful and my doc warned me that it sometimes causes them to have to do a C-section (my cervix is closed) which scares me even more. Has anyone had an easy or positive experience after being induced?

I was scheduled to be induced on April 18th at 4 p.m and my water broke at 8 am that morning =O)~ I was 2 days over due. They gave me poticion anyway b/c I was not dialating quickly after my water broke. I had a pretty positive experince with it. The only bad thing that happend was the epi didn't work the first time, so I was in pretty bad pain for about an hr. (b/c the poticion gives you very hard constant contractions). But once I got an epi that worked I was all good. I think you'll be fine, I know plenty of people that have been induced and have very normal labor's. Good Luck momma, let us know how it goes.

They had to do a c-section after 24 hours of labor because I was only dilated to a 4. Little stinker just wasn't ready to make her appearance yet, I suppose! But she was certainly worth it. ;)

Hope your induction went well. I was induced two weeks early and had a very wonderful experience. Went in 7/5 and had cervadil inserted for the night because I wasn't dialated. They started pitocin at 9am and broke my water at 10am. I pushed for 45min and delivered my healthy baby girl at 12:45.
