My son wont sleep in his crib he only sleeps when one of us is holding him how do i get him to sleep in his crib??

How old is he? My daughter was like this until she was 3 months old and then I had had enough! I started the CIO method and checked on her every few minutes waiting longer and longer after each visit. It was tough but it worked after a few nights. That was 4 years ago. I now have a 3 month old son and he has never slept with me.

My 3wk old does the same thing. We tried the bassinet & crib the first week & she hated both. We gave in & started co-sleeping-that way we get in 3hr blocks of sleep! Our plan is to go to the CIO method when she's 3-4mths old when her brain is more developed. Right now it's all about getting sleep!!
