What's the best advice you could give to a new mom?

What's the best advice you received as a new mom?

I think just to enjoy the time when your baby is a baby and don't be in a hurry for him or her to grow up : )

Listen to your own mommy instincts and take all advice you are given with a grain of salt.  :)

When I'm asked, I tell the new moms what worked for me.
Putting my babies to sleep in their cribs every hour to hour and a half (even if they didn't seem tired).  They were great nappers this way, and learned how to put themselves to sleep pretty quickly.

Feeling frustrated is normal.

Always make sure that you take some time to do something for yourself :)

Enjoy yourself, rest when the baby does (a clean house is nice, but if mommy's tired then nobody is happy).

I think the advice I would give a new mother is this:

You can make that almighty dollar tomorrow, but your precious child will only be a baby today. Take the time, the real time, to cuddle, coo, love your baby.

In 18 years he/she will set out to make their own life. Think about what you will say when that day comes.

Will you say I wish I'd spent more time? Or will you say it has been a wonderful time watching him/her grow.

Nap or get things done when the baby naps!

If you are nursing and feel frustrated. just keep at it, it will get better as time goes by. Sleep when you can! Do not be afraid to ask for help!

Take it a day at a time, don't wish time away, and you'll get to sleep again...one day!
