My 17 month olds ears and eyes are infected, and hes got some cough meds as well, I just tried to give them to him and he was crying and spiting them up. Any ideas? can i mix it with food or some juice?

Beware - if you mix it with juice, you have to make sure he drinks ALL of it. Otherwise he's not getting the proper dosage. Good luck Mama!

Idk but it works like a charm. Makes them swallow.

Try doing it for fun. Lol! Its hilarious to see how they react.

Give it slowly with water or juice . while using the syringe (because like the other poster said if you mix it in juice if they dont finish it all then they wont get a full dose ) . you could also try and put it in applesauce or some other food and hide it .

I let my LO who is also 17 months hold something like a cell phone to distract him and then i give him little bits at a time with the syringe

I used to use a method I'd used on my dog before (I know sounds crazy) if you've got a syringe type medicine distributor, fill it up & put it as far back into his cheek, close to the throat as you can get it w/out choking him. The trick is to get it past his taste buds on the tongue so it slids down the throat & they don't try spitting it back out. Just as you're doing this, try distracting him w/ something & make him look slightly away & then squirt! Follow quickly w/ some yummies in case he did get any on his tongue. Dd loved cheerioes or those Gerber puff things that tasted like fruit.
