We did the "Tickle the Teeth" Teaching them not to scrub their teeth to hard, but makiing sure they "tickled" every tooth! My 17 yr old has impressed her dentist!

I've tried light up toothbrushes; my son looks at the light while the toothbrush is out of his mouth. Got him one that plays a tune, he sings along with it, ALSO while the toothbrush is out of his mouth. I've finally discovered the only thing that seems to really work: plaque disclosing tablets.  Chew it up, swish it around for about 30 seconds, and it highlights every bit of plaque!  The ones I bought show "old" and "new" plaque in 2 different colors.  Now I don't so much worry about the 2 minutes, but I KNOW he's getting his teeth clean, and so does he.
