Sometimes getting my son to brush for longer is by singing a song while brushing.

We have the singing toothbrushes. They dont stop until it stops... it's perfect, no fooling themselves. :)

I sing the Spiderman theme song twice to make sure she brushes for 3 mins. She loves it and will sing with me once she is done.
