Teaching Kids Healthy Habits Teaching Kids Healthy Habits

Thats what I was taught! How do you tell your kids to cover their mouths when they cough?

That's what I taught them too!  And I make them wash their hands if they do anything else, or if they use a tissue.  I was somewhere the other day, where a lady was writing something, and she went and blew her nose, then just picked up the pen and started writing again.  I was just thinking "I'm not touching that pen!"

I remind my 5 year old all of the time to cover when he coughs or sneezes.

I tell them that all the time . . . or "cough in your sleeve"!

We're elbow coughers, too.

I also teach them to turn their heads away from whomever they're speaking to at the time.

We try the cough in your elbow approach.  Its not working so well all the time but we keep at it!
