This is so cute and creative! I love incorporating stories into what we do. This helps not only to get them to do things, but also encourages creativity when they add to or change the stories.
Quoting Jerichos_Mommy:
I made up a story about the Germaquinichacononcha monsters (aka germs and bacteria) that like to sneak into your mouth and dig holes in your teeth and make your breath smell pew weeee stinky.
The hero of the story is Toothabrushika he is tall and skinny witha bristely head. Only he and his family can see the Germaquinichacononcha who are so tiny they can't be seen by you and I.
My daughter loves to pick one of her toothbrushes - Hello Kitty, Ariel, etc. She likes to have her teeth jump rope afterwards with her colored fun flossers. On days she's not in the mood to brush, I use one of her dolls to check her teeth. If her doll says "eww" or "uh-oh" and falls over, then it's time to brush. Afterwards, her doll checks again and gives her a hug and kiss.

My 2 year-old and I play "toothbrush tango" from Blue's Clues. He will actually sing the song and brush his teeth. Then, he rinses with a Dixie cup. I, too, usually brush with him and he wants to do what mommy does.
