Would you allow your child to get a piercing other than ears?

Posted by   + Show Post

My 14, almost 15 year old is wanting to get her nose pierced and found a place that's doing nostril piercings for only $15 today only.

Would you let your child do it?

I'm not looking forward to having to make this decision LOL  I got a bunch of piercings after I turned 18 but I did the second hole in my own ears when I was 16 because my mom wouldn't let me get it done by a pro.  I'd rather DD had any piercings done by a pro but I also hope she'll wait til she's a little older....

My first thought is no. When they are 18 they can pierce and tattoo all they want.

Now, as my kids get older that idea may change, but they are only 4 and 7 now.

I wouldnt mind a nose piercing. As long as they were at least sixteen.

I would not allow my child to get anything pierced until they are 18yrs or older.  I don't feel we should alter our looks as children/teenagers.

Personally, I would discourage it.  I don't find it attractive.

Another thought. Permanently altering your appearance based on a "today only"sale doesn't seem like a good idea.

Yeah when my kids turn 15 I will let them get 1 piercing besides their ears. As long as its "noticeable". What I mean by that, nose, belly. NOT under the pants or some other weird piercing that I won't be able to see. =)

No. They can't wear that for school around here anyway.

If they want to ruin their faces like that, they'll wait until they are old enough to sign for it themselves. In my opinion even 18 isn't old enough to make a decision like that.

Probably my kids will be the ones walking around with everything pierced just because I think they are so gross....lol. Tattoos too probably. I don't like those either.
