Fun Creative Ideas To Make Everyone Smile

Happy. Pleased. Content. Blissful. Merry. I could go on. So many words to describe this light feeling that puts a smile on our faces. Getting out of the rut, breaking up the daily routine, spending some extra time together, saying Yes to being together and having fun is a sure way to bring happiness to the family...and often, that light feeling carries over to the next day and the day after and we find ourselves a little more patient with the kids and they listen a little better. One bot of together time can make a huge difference.
But what to do? Again, it doesn't have to be a big deal and you don't need to spend a ton of money, either. Check out these ideas.
-- Plant a garden. Even one little cup in the windowsill can be a fun task for the whole family. We just planted a few little pots with some flower seeds in our apartment and every morning, Kiddo checks it, reporting on how the pansies are doing to my husband and me. A perfect daily dose of happy and fun.
-- Compose a family song or two. One afternoon, gather the family and think some lyrics, compose a rhythm and a melody. Doesn't matter if no one plays an instrument. Get some pots and pans out, and an old paper towel tube is the microphone.
-- Make a movie. Many of us have video cameras on our phones. Think about it, rehearse it, and then record it. Don't forget the title and the cast -- grab some markers and poster board and write it out, flash it before you start acting.
-- Create a wall of pictures. Even you. Maybe places that you love or would love to visit. Favorite memories. Funny aliens. Whatever it may be, do it together, talk and laugh.

We do surprises- load the kids in the car or just take them to the backyard and have a fun destination or activity to do... it's always a surprise, they love it!
