We have two purebred bullmastiffs and I totally think that having animals can be good for your health; emotional and physical.

I didn't make it through the whole thing but I thought there were a lot of good points.  Although I have to argue with the stress-reducing one - our puppy is the biggest source of stress in my life LOL  I'm mostly kidding, I know he'll grow out of his crazy puppiness, and he really is a good, mellow, obedient dog most of the time.  He's definitely like another kid - pisses me off sometimes, but I love him and am glad we have him :)

We have a Cocker Spaniel and I agree, she makes us all happy. And having to walk her on a leash doesn't hurt either.
