So what has happened today that has got you wanting to scream, hide, or simply crawl back into bed and call "do over" ?

Decided to take the kids bowling this morning using our Kids Bowl Free coupons. Everyone was excited! We get to the bowling alley and there is one other family in there and they are using the ONLY ramp in the place for their young daughter. DS knows that DD needs the ramp so he goes over and asks one of the older girls if we can borrow it. She says yes and DS brings it over to our lane. (We are about 5 lanes apart.) As DD gets ready to take her turn 2 of the moms with the other group holler over, "We are using that." Mind you, when DS grabbed it no one was using it. It was sitting off to the side of their lanes. So I said, "Can't we share it?" Then one of the moms rolls her eyes and turns away. After DD took her turn I had DS return it to them and they never offered to share it again. We still had fun, but the entire time we were there they kept looking over at us and whispering to each other.

I was so irritated that the PARENTS weren't willing to share with other kids. Grrrr... what kind of example does that set for their kids? Oh well, I was able to use it as a teachable moment for my kiddos! :-)

Ohh, I'd have been upset also. It sucks that adults can't be mature.

Right? :-) I totally felt like we were back in junior high and these women were my age or older.

And you can bet they thought they were all high and mighty. Whatever.

My day has been ok but we found out that my FIL might have lung cancer. He had some other issues that led to an ultrasound of his chest. They found some scar tissue on his lungs and today he found out that he has a lung disease. We aren't sure what that means but he has an appointment sometime next week with a specialist.

He smoked for many years but quit within the past 5. But he lives with his sister who still smokes up a storm. If he does have cancer she's already said she's not quitting so he'll have to move in with SIL and her DH. But they both smoke so hopefully they'll stop smoking in the house.

It was a rough morning and part of afternoon for my son. We went to the beach and his patch fell off before his meds kicked in and my mom has no patience with him. But she has endless patience with my sisters kids who do not have the issues my son has. It drives me crazy!!
