I agree about the water heater thing. Once I had dd's feet in the sink with the water running and took a moment to use the washcloth to try to get out the food she had gotten in her hair at the nape of her neck. I only focused on it for a minute and she started making an upset noise. At first I thought she was just complaining about me cleaning her as usual but when I looked back I noticed that she had tucked her feet back and the water was cloudy. She had reached forward and turned off the cold water. She had never done that before and now whenever she reaches to play with the handles we talk about "that one time we turned off the cold water by accident." Poor baby. Good thing the water only gets so hot in our water heater.

tell me about it... even though I knew it wasn't hot enough to burn her or anything she was still iffy about sitting at the sink for a few days after and I felt really guilty. I gave her such snuggles that day... long after she had stopped being bothered by it.gcz
