I feel like throwing a tantrum....

And I mean a full-on, throw myself kicking & screaming on the floor tantrum! :-( I know, I know, not very grown up is it? I feel like an idiot for even feeling this way, but I just can't help it!

My birthday is this Friday. DH's truck died last week, it doesn't look like it can be fixed, we have to get a new car NOW, and that means I do not get a birthday present. I was SO looking forward to a Kindle and now I can't get one. On top of that I was supposed to be getting a new car next year. My first BRAND new car and now that will be on hold too!

I feel selfish for even feeling this way, but I am just so pissed! It is not anyone's (well, Chrysler's) fault. I have no one to be mad at, but I am! I am a grown-up, I shouldn't be upset about not getting a birthday present. I know this, but I cannot shake the feeling!

Sorry, just had to vent! Do you ever feel like throwing a tantrum?

I know almost this exact same feeling :)  While I was deployed, we were saving up money so I could trick out my Jeep when I got home - lift kit, winch, big mud tires, the works.  3 months before I got back, DH totalled his truck and the day after I got home, HE got the truck of his dreams and I got jack squat.

I hope that he can make it up to you in a non-monetary way, like an afternoon to yourself or a girls' night out or something fun or relaxing for you.

Thanks for telling me your story. It actually helps to know that I am not just being a big baby. Well, maybe I am, but it is ok once in a while! LOL

And we ARE taking the kids to the state fair on Friday so I am going to have fun with the family ON my birthday. I just really wanted a Kindle, darn it! :-)

Thanks! I sure hope things turn around quick. The stress of it all is starting to get to us too!
